I have complied a small list of my latest loves. It is basically some things that interest me in some way or another everyday and I am sure some of you will relate to one or more of them!
1. Leopard Print
This blog was not aimed to be a fashion blog, but what girl doesn’t like to talk about clothes and accessories every now and then?!
So, yep, leopard print is my new love. The last jumper I bought from H&M was leopard print, as was my scarf…. and my sunglasses and I just ordered a leopard pint skirt from Boohoo.com. I may have a problem!
I also noticed that H&M have leopard print bed sheets…too Bet Lynch do you think?
I used to think the more stuff I had the better. A wardrobe jammed with clothes, shelves packed with ornaments and little decorative pieces, just stuff everywhere. I have finally realised that less really is actually more! If it does not serve a purpose or if I don’t really love it, then I don’t want it…simple!
That is why I have started reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo. I have never read a book like this before and I am not sure if it will be beneficial but some of the bits I have skimmed through seem interesting. It is aimed to help you de-clutter and organise your home. If it really is ‘life changing’ I will be sure to right a blog post about it!
OK, I know, I don’t think I will ever grow up either, but give me something Batman themed and I am a happy girl! As my sister found out when she brought me Batman pyjama’s from Penny’s.
4. All Things Interior
This is totally understandable as, well, who isn’t?! Tell me you don’t be oohing and ahhing over all the beautiful interiors in Pinterest?
We are building a house so I love spending time on Pinterest finding out what I love and, well, don’t love. You can follow Rachel’s Road on Pinterest here
5. Harry Potter
I confess that I have not read all the Harry Potter books (I read three of them years ago), nor have I seen the films. Sorry to all you HP nuts out there! I am including this in my Five Fixations because I aim to become one of you! The oder has been placed and the books should be arriving any day now. I could have watched the films first, but lets face it, the books are always better. So books first, films second.
I have my nieces to thank for this, their Harry Potter obsession is making me do this! Also photo credit below to my eldest niece, Èabha!
Well that is it, my life in a fixated nutshell!
